A new visual identity positioned the startup as a high end apparel brand

Lovange, a Plano, TX based apparel startup approached Innowave Design to create their visual identity. The challenge was to create a high-end designer brand identity, appealing to both men and women. The symbolic logo was to incorporate 'peacock' elements in the design.
The client required a contemporary vibrant design combined with functional versatility for use on design assets like website, business card or clothing tags.
First, we chose peacock feather as the color palette to keep the visual identity gender neutral. Initial idea was around fuchsia, turquoise, silver and royal blue, in a right blend, to give a fresh and vibrant first look. The classy designer look with a wider appeal warranted a combination of western touch with an ethnic slant. Peacock strokes were chosen to represent the visual identity during the illustration phase of the design.
Type face was used to give the logo a bold and confident feel to stand tall with other high-end designer brands. Illustrations were created to test and validate the functional versatility of the new brand. The result was a fresh, clean and vibrant visual identity that stood apart to create its own space.
